Halloween

Dressing up, trick or treating, and candy....LOTS of candy. Lauren's main focus was eating as much candy as possible. Of course, being a mommy it was my duty to make sure she did not overeat the sweets and I had to impose a limit. You would have thought the world was coming to an end. Throwing herself on the ground, screaming, crying, and acting exactly as her age requires!! Unfortunately we REALLY wanted some pictures and ended up giving her candy in exchange for sitting still for pics. Not a good idea, I know! In the end we still did not have great pics and she had a tummy full of candy.

We had our friends the Darmock's over for the evening and our neighbors also joined us. Ciera and Lauren had a great time together, as always! The pirate and the lady bug. As you can see they were just too cute :) We trick or treated and had dinner. It was a great night and ended well without any desperate screams for candy as we put Lauren to bed. As you can tell from the pictures, Elleigh hated the idea of pictures! Oh well, maybe next year will be a better year for pics. One can only hope right??

Scott loves to carve pumpkins and this year he and Lauren carved this pumpkin. A bit too scary for me as I like the silly looking pumpkin faces, but it turned out well!

Hunt Club Farms

Sunday had weather that was perfect for the fall. It was cool and a bit windy, perfect for going out to a pumpkin patch! Of course we can never go anywhere without forgetting something! I forgot a sweater and we had to go buy one since the only other choice was to go home. I have to admit that I did not want to go out today but was really glad once we finally unloaded and went in.







Lauren did not want to ride the horse nor any of the carnival rides. She did have a great time on the inflatible slides and jumpers though. There was one inflatible tunnel, shaped like a catepillar, that had a small incline to climb up. We could watch through a little window on the side. Every time she tried to climb the incline a bigger kid would come running up and throw her back down. She did not cry and as I hysterically asked the attendant to get her out she let someone help her and came through the end smiling and happy. She also fed goats and chased chickens shrieking with laughter the whole time! Scott and I had a great time just watching her.










We also attended a Halloween Party at My Gym yesterday, it is a gym for children. Lauren takes a class there once a week and absolutely loves it. It was fun and as you can see from the pics Lauren had a GREAT time!!

Peninsula Mommies Halloween Party

We attended our first Halloween party and it was soo much fun for the girls and parents alike.
It started off rough since Lauren would not nap and I expected a complete melt down within minutes of arriving. Other than an initial refusal to walk away from the swing set outside of the building we had no problems!! Yeah for my girls :)
Elleigh and Lauren entered the costume contest and were in direct competition with each other! The age group was 0-2 and Elleigh won!!! She looked adorable in her cheerleader outfit but I do have to confess that I loved Laurens costume more and would have voted for her! Lauren of course could have cared less, she was totally focused on her lollipop as you can see in the pics!
Now we are looking forward to trick or treating in the neighborhood and showing all the neighbors how adorable we look :)

New Blog

I got this idea from my friend Sharon and thought that it was a GREAT idea.
So, I will be adding setting up and maintaining this blog to my hectic days but love the idea of family being able to keep up with us!
